There is a fear

There is a fear, one that eats up most of us as we grow older. We see people achieving the things that we have tried, tested and failed. We see people acquiring blessings that require no work nor effort from them, and still then we have to clap hands. There is a fear in the millennials right now, that we will never be able to occupy available spaces in our lives. To some it is thriving in their careers and others, probably marriage.
This fear grows our hearts cynical and has us ending up casting down the desire for acquiring. The heart gets so tired of hoping and believing that it just shuts down as the thought of a new possibility. I often wonder if some things are meant for some people and some not. Why do some people just get it and others not? We know people who make good partners but are unfortunately meeting people that never match their energy. We also know people that work hard, waking up early and first to break the dew on the grass but still living under minimum wage.
Does life reward each one according to their abilities and work? Does devotion to divinity guarantee earthly success (however you define it). There is a fear in us that we will never amount to what we want to amount to and there is an angst in watching others and having to applaud them. You are genuinely happy that God is in the neighborhood, but your heart screams “do not pass me by!”. I know that life is comparatively unfair. I use the word comparative strongly and with much conviction because I know that every time I ever feel this fear, this angst… it is because I saw God in the neighborhood. Every time I feel this electrocuting anxiety, I have placed myself in someone’s shoes and are coveting their path.
There is a path for all of us. This, I believe with my entire existence. Coveting has stolen our time to look within and find the path. Each and everyone of us has a different fingerprint because there is a specific path at hand. There is a path that leads to a more fulfilling life and greater contentment. Once we discover who we are and why we’re here, we open ourselves up to the possibility of being our highest self. My highest self could be a writer, and someone’s highest self could be a mother. Every path, when followed with much grace, humility and obedience leads to a more successful and fulfilled life. The greatest breakthrough is knowing and accepting that our desires aren’t always congruent with our path. When we surrender to who we TRULY are, our coveting flesh and our lustful desires will subside. A new world will beckon in us.
Do you know your path?

The path(my path) is unclear but I atleast want to keep walking and that for now is enough.
even when I feel this fear, I keep walking.
