You don't have to carry it alone.

Great people cry, especially when they trust the kindness of God.
I am journeying through the Old Testament, and I am enjoying myself. I am learning about God in ways that no pastor has ever taught me. I see a side to Him that many wouldn’t care to see. Kindness.
You know how we all believe that complaining is a bad thing? I am one person who complains and really bully myself a lot for it. As a Christian, one shouldn’t complain, right? I read the definition of complaining somewhere, as I was trying to be a person who is full of contentment; the words said, “Complaining is a defence against the courage to change, while venting addresses the issues and inspires you to take action.” When I look at many Bible characters, I see that they vented much to God, and He would give them solutions. Often, these people were already living for God and had dedicated their lives to Him.
In Numbers 11:11- 15, we see Moses complaining to God that the burden of leading ungrateful people is too heavy on him. He goes as far as to say;
“14 I can’t carry all these people by myself! The load is far too heavy! 15 If this is how you intend to treat me, just go ahead and kill me. Do me a favor and spare me this misery!”.
I read this scripture with so much empathy for Moses because I understand the burden of doing the Lord’s work, especially when people around you haven’t quite caught up with the vision. Being criticised for honouring God isn’t a nice feeling; if anything, it is quite traumatic because doing God’s will requires faith [because God isn’t human and doesn’t give orders as humans do], and when people around you treat your faith like something of no good use, you may start to question yourself. The Lord’s response is what hit me quite sternly. He made a plan for Moses to be helped by some of the Israelites and said, in verse 17
“...They will bear the burden of the people along with you, so you will not have to carry it alone”
So you will not have to carry it alone.
So you will not have to carry it alone
So you will not have to carry it alone
In this passage of scripture, I learned that the Lord is displeased with the Israelites for complaining but shows compassion for Moses when he complains. This teaches me that I have to be within the will of God to complain. I have to be on His radar and memo to even utter words of disgruntlement. It is complaining when you are not in the will of God, but it is venting when you are in the will of God. We are allowed to whine about some things, and we are encouraged not to whine about some.
Above everything, my dearest [most kindest] stranger, I hope that you build your life on the one who is ever so wise. The one who knows why you have to eat manna and not meat. May you trust in His unfailing love and generous spirit. And finally, I pray Col 2:7 over your life. I love you, and thanks for trusting me with your heart.
Col 2:7 “Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always be thankful.”
